Great challenges are happening with A3F Incorporated!

The Almost Famous Film Festival 2008-2009 Season will be one the most talked about film circuits in Arizona and around the world. This past spring, A3F celebrated its Fourth Anniversary with our much anticipated 48 Hour Short Film Challenge. With a budget below $10K, A3F's 48 Hour event is the largest challenge in the Southwest with over 500 filmmakers participating and an audience in the thousands.

Thank you for your support these past four years. We hope you, your team and crew will participate in our exciting new season of events. In regards to challenges in the valley, I believe there are 24 Hour, 36 Hour, 48 Hour, and 72 Hour Challenges ... I'm sure there's a 68 Hour Challenge out there too!!! Time restraints are one way to test filmmakers and writers and we will continue to provide the best timed challenged in the Southwest. However, as filmmakers, we know you want more and we're ready to give it!

The A3F Music Video Challenge will be the HOTTEST and most anticipated summer event for filmmakers in Arizona and across the country! This exciting new challenge brings new life to the valley film scene and will test your creativity and ... sorry, I can't tell you more until July 1st!! So stay tuned!!!

Our newly formed non-profit, A3F Inc., will be giving out scholarships to students to continue their filmmaking studies at Phoenix College, Scottsdale Community College and ASU Downtown. We will also be working to raise funds for an A3F Community Center to open in 2010 that will be a valuable resource for valley filmmakers. And that's just the beginning...

We have showcased extraordinary short films over the years made by many talented filmmakers from Arizona, California and surrounding states. By adding some new events and our 2nd Annual International Short Film Festival to our yearly programming schedule, A3F Inc. will continue to bring filmmakers, independent film enthusiasts, visitors and surrounding communities to the Downtown Phoenix area for years to come.

Yes, we have the lowest entry fees in the state! Yes, we give away more money and prizes to both the filmmakers and audience members than any festival around! Yes, we will have it in Downtown Phoenix which is transforming into a vibrant, artistic area (not cookie-cutter) and the place to live, work and be seen! Yes, we will answer every one of your emails, questions, complaints or hopefully compliments!

And yes, we will make you Almost Famous!
